The news about the passing of Gordie Larkin, after a two month battle with COVID-19, has hit our Labour Community especially hard.

For many of us Gordie was an institution: at every labour convention, Said by Joshua Berson “always with that goofy smile, a volunteer request or hustling for a donation. Unfairly teased as “three chord Gord”, the brother was a lifelong student of the guitar and took great joy in jamming with lots of union folk. For a brief spell, I played bass in a blues band of Gordie’s. His musical range was much greater than Solidarity Forever, although this became signature tune and number one request. Sending love and strength to Barb and the family. Rest in power dear friend.”

Our condolences go out to Gordie’s family and friends.
