CUPE 951 GENERAL MEETING
2012 EXECUTIVE BOARD & TRUSTEE ELECTIONS
Wednesday, January 25, 2012
University Centre A180 (Senate Chambers) 11:30-1:00 

This is a very important meeting to attend as the 2010-2011 Executive Board will stand down and a new Executive Board will be elected for a 17 month term from January 2012-June 2013. One Trustee position will also be up for election for a 3-year term from 2012-2015. 

Nominations are now open for the following positions:
President
Vice President
2nd Vice President
Chief Steward
Treasurer
Secretary
Education Committee Chair
Communication Committee Chair
2 Members-at-Large
1 Trustee

Position descriptions are outlined in the CUPE 951 Bylaws, Section 13 (Executive Board) and 14 (Duties of Officers and Stewards). Eligibility will be determined based on the CUPE 951 By-Laws:

 "Section 7: Eligibility for Office

"To be eligible as an Union Officer, Steward, member of the Negotiating Committee, or chair of a committee, members will have attended at least fifty percent of the General meetings held in the previous twelve months or five meetingfs if they have been a member for less than a year. When there is no qualified nominee, the President may waive this requirements with the approval of the membership. Child Care Stewards who are unable to attend General meetings will be considered eligible providing they have attended an equivalent number of Child Care Steward meetings."
