Emergency preparedness week – May 7th to the 13th

Emergency Preparedness Week is this May 7th to 13th.

This is a great reminder that we all can do more to be prepared for disrupting emergency events in our lives.

Several lunch time learning events have been scheduled and are open to any member of the campus community.

Bring your lunch and come out and learn!

A major theme of this year’s Emergency Preparedness Week is “Learn what to do in an Active Threat event”.

Two sessions will be devoted to this topic. Learn how you can protect yourself and others if an active threat event occurs.

 

 Here are the learning events scheduled for Emergency Preparedness Week:

 

Emergency Preparedness Workshop (learn how to be prepared at home and work)           
12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. on Monday May 8th,  in David Strong Building C126
Active Threat on Campus: Know You Can Survive (learn what to do in an Active Threat event)
12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9 in Cornett room A129
Surviving Disaster (thought provoking video on how to survive disaster)
1200 noon to 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10th in David Turpin Bldg Rm A110
Active Threat on Campus: Know You Can Survive (learn what to do in an Active Threat event)
12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11 in Cornett room A129
 
All sessions are free. No registration required. Drop in – seating is first come first serve.
