VLC Sponsored Pride march this Sunday

Pride-Sunday-July-10The labour movement has been a proud champion of LGBT+ rights for decades and we know that visible signs of union pride are extremely important. The more unions that assist members in creating a visible presence at picnics, marches and parades the better!!

On July 10, the Victoria Labour Council will join with local affiliates in the Victoria Pride parade and we welcome you to join us! We will muster between 11 and 11:45 near Victoria City Hall and the parade starts at noon ( the route starts at the corner of Government & Pandora & then moving south on Government to Belleville, down Menzies to Kingston, left on Oswego & ending at MacDonald Park.)

This a great opportunity to be loud and proud of being a union member so, wear your union t-shirt or fly your union flag. It is also an opportunity to show off your sparkle and wear a little colour so if you have something that glitters throw that on too (Kim will also come with some sparkly hats and feather boas).

We won’t know our exact parade starting location until Sunday morning but as soon as we find it out (by 9am) we will post it to the Victoria Labour Council Facebook Page – LINK
