55th Anniversary T-Shirts
As you may or may not be aware on April 22, 1965 our local signed our charter with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE). Over the last 55 years our local has grown while continuing to fight hard for your rights, benefits, equality and security.
The year 2020 marks our 55th Anniversary being unionized with CUPE!
It is unfortunate that we are unable to celebrate this achievement in person with our members as we have in previous years. However, to celebrate this milestone, your CUPE 951 Executive worked with CUPE 951 designers to produce a special 55th anniversary t-shirt. This t-shirt will be made available to all current members.
To order your 55th anniversary t-shirt please send Kira an email (CUPE951@uvic.ca) with the following information.
- Your name (first and last)
- Delivery address (on campus or home)
- Shirt size (Unisex crewneck T-Shirt) S – 5XL
That’s not all… Your Executive has also purchased a 55th anniversary board (4ft by 4ft – similar to the 45th & 50th anniversary boards). You may have seen this board around campus in lunch rooms for CUPE 951 members to sign – If you see it, sign it! If you are working on campus let us know what department and building you are in and we will make every effort to have the board sent over to you. This will be done over the next few months, so don’t panic if you don’t see it in your building right away.
