CLC Convention Continues
While campaigning continued to rage in hallways, on social media, and on the floor between resolutions and speakers, convention carried on, passing motions, and discussing the landscape of Canadian politics and labour’s role within it.
Despite political tension, the overall tone of the convention has been positive. Delegates voted overwhelmingly to continue to support the Together Fairness Works campaign; to support Canada Post workers and fight against cuts to service and privatization of the work; to support and fight for the rights of temporary foreign workers; and much more.
There is a renewed energy to fight — for workers’ rights, for all workers and for a better Canada. Convention continues until Friday.
