Silence is Gold – Screening
After the release of NOIR CANADA, Pillage, Corruption et Criminalité en Afrique, Alain Deneault, his co-writers and publisher were sued for defamation by giant Canadian mining companies. In the end, the book was removed from shelves. Produced by MC2 in cooperation with the National Film Board, the documentary Silence is Gold/Le prix des mots follows those who faced the SLAPP suit and the response of Canada’s justice system.
