Greater Victoria CUPE Scholarship Award Recipients 2014
The Greater Victoria CUPE Scholarship Committee is pleased to have distributed $5600 this year to deserving students whose parents are members of 1 of the 6 GV CUPE locals that participate in contributing annually to the scholarship fund. Each of the 8 post-secondary students received an award of $700 in November 2014. This year the committee received dozens of top quality applications from hard working and deserving students. However, the committee was only able to award a few.
The 2014 CUPE Local 951 scholarship recipient is: Luke Hawkins who is the son of Jayne Hawkins. Congratulations!
Applications for these scholarships become available in June and are due September 30. Students are limited to receiving a total of 2 awards. Our CUPE 951 website will keep you updated.
