Food Bank Donations at the Holiday Social
CUPE 951 will be collecting donations of money and canned food items at the December 7 Holiday Social to help support our communities. Food banks on Vancouver Island are reporting that they just can’t meet the demand, as the numbers of families and individuals who can’t afford food have increased dramatically amid rising food costs.
Cash is especially appreciated as it gives food banks greater buying power to purchase at wholesale prices.
All cash donations will be added to our food bank donations to the Mustard Seed, Uvic Student Society, Sooke, Langford and Saanich Peninsula food banks. Thank you for helping to support those in need in our communities!
