Electoral Town Halls coming to your town!
Our Government has committed to putting in place a new voting system before the next federal election. These reforms will be aimed at better representing the views of Canadians and improving public trust in our political system. It is crucial to have an electoral system that fairly represents Canadians. This process of examination and discussion will strengthen our democratic culture and practices, benefitting all Canadians.
Participate in this important national dialogue:
a.) by joining one of the events scheduled in your community,
b.) to examine how to restore the effectiveness and legitimacy of voting,
c.) encourage greater engagement, support inclusiveness, and
d.) preserve the accountability of local representation.
