Possible Canada Post Strike Update
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers has recently served strike notice to their employer. CUPE BC is strongly in support of CUPW and their fight for a fair and just collective agreement. All locals are encouraged to write to Canada Post demanding they bargain a fair and just collective agreement with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.This job action will have a significant impact on many CUPE BC and Locals operations. To ensure we continue to be able to serve and work on behalf of CUPE members in British Columbia, I recommend the following actions during the job action:
Alternative Unionized courier services:
Should locals who need to send material by courier I strongly recommend using a unionized courier service such as Purolator (PSAC).
